Description

“Low back pain” and “training the core” are examples of non-specific terms that continually confuse trainers.  This course will help a trainer replace these terms with a system that allows for greater specificity and greater ability to improve a client’s conditioning.  The system begins with understanding the musculoskeletal components of spine flexion, extension, and pelvic tilting.  After explaining these topics, the system for developing assessment techniques to improve a client’s back health is introduced and taught.  The course also details how to optimize abdominal exercises.

Course Objectives

A student will be able to assess spine characteristics to identify ‘normal’ or common pathologies.

A student will be able to identify RED FLAGS requiring specialist care or specific training techniques.

A student will be able to utilize gym equipment, verbal cues, specific exercises, and other variables to prescribe optimal abdominal exercises.

Customer Reviews

Great advice for specific back issues. Balanced research and application. I recommend it.

I found this course much more challenging then others I have taken but it has good information. Questions for this exam are not as straight forward as other exams.

Also, as a bit of feedback, the print on the test needs to be larger. Also , the first time i took the test, i submited it for grading and i got an error messsage saying that i had missed questions, but when i hit the button to save it for later, it did not save. I was NOT happy and had to spend another 45 mintues retakeing it.

great course with really good assessments!
