1. How do I know which courses are approved for my certification(s)?

Under the course catalog you can filter the courses based on your certification(s).  Our current approvals include ACE, ACSM, AFAA, AFPA, CHEK, COOPER, ISSA, NASM, NATA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, an WITS.

2. How do your 10 contact hour courses equate to my CEU/CEC(s)?

All Advantage Education (formerly Cloud9Fitness) courses are approved for 10 contact hours.  This is equal to 1.0 or 10 CEU/CEC depending on your certification’s reporting system.

3. What do the "Level 1, 2, 3" mean?

Level 1 courses are broad in scope while providing an updated review for most trainers. Level 2 courses look at a more focused area within exercise or nutrition sciences. You do not need to complete level 1 courses in order to successfully complete a level 2 course. Level 3 courses are the most focused courses. It is recommended that a trainer have good background in either exercise or nutrition sciences before completing a level 3 course.

4. What comes with an online continuing education course?

Personal trainers who purchase an online continuing education course have access to the electronic course text (pdf), an online test, course appendices and videos (videos included in the “Assessment and Rehabilitation” series).

5. Can I save an unfinished online test?

Yes, you can save and return at any time. 

6. Are online tests graded instantly?

Yes.

7. What comes with a home continuing education course?

Personal trainers who purchase a home continuing education course have access to all the electronic files listed for online courses except for the online test.  On the day of purchase a hard copy of the course text, test, answer sheet, and pre-paid return mailer are mailed to your shipping address with 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail.

8. How quickly are home course tests graded?

Once the answer sheet is received it is graded within 24 hours.  You will be notified of the grade by email.

9. Is there a time limit on the online/home courses?

No.  Courses can be completed and submitted at any time.

10. What is a passing grade?

70% correct.

11. When do I receive my certificate?

After completion of a course you have access to your electronic certificate on earntheadvantage.com.

12. How many opportunities do I have to pass an exam?

An individual can attempt each exam three times.

13. If I do not pass my exam after remediation, do I receive a refund?

No refunds are provided for courses failed after remediation attempts.
